?Clarithromycin HEC (a generic to the pharmaceutical product Klacid) has been launched in Sweden, consistently with previously communicated goals.

?Clarithromycin, belongs to a group of antibiotics medicines called macrolides, is used in treatment of bacterial infections, including e.g. airway infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis and skin- and soft tissue infections.

?The yearly sales for the Clarithromycin tablet (only Klacid) in Sweden is approximately SEK 2.2 million. Before Clarithromycin HEC’s launch, there is no generic product of Clarithromycin on the market in Sweden. We are looking forward to the outcome of Clarithromycin HEC in coming days.
